Peru: 12-month ahead inflation expectations at 2.2% in Nov 2019
09:25
| Lima, Dec. 10.
Inflation expectations of economic analysts and financial system entities for the next 12 months stood at 2.2% last November, Peru's Central Reserve Bank (BCR) has reported.
They have remained within the BCR's target range of 1% to 3% since May 2017
, according to the BCR's Macroeconomic Expectations Survey.
Regarding annual projections, economic agents reduced their
inflation forecasts to a range between 2% and 2.2% for 2019
(between 2%-2.3% in the survey published a month ago).
Inflation expectations
for 2020 were also lowered to a range between 2.2% and 2.4%. For 2021, they are projected to remain between 2.3% and 2.5%.
Of the three groups of economic agents, non-financial companies lowered their
inflation
projections from 2.3% to 2.2%, while economic analysts and the financial system maintained them at 2% for the current year.
