Peruvian Prime Minister Luis Arroyo met on Wednesday with Israeli Trade Commissioner and Director of the Foreign Trade Administration Roey Fisher to discuss opportunities aimed at strengthening economic and trade ties between the two countries.

Likewise, the dignitaries discussed Peru's accession process to the OECD.

In addition, they highlighted the upcoming visit of Israeli business delegations to the South American country to boost cooperation opportunities in mining, technology, and cybersecurity, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) reported.

The Cabinet chief arrived in Paris, France, to participate in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's (OECD) Ministerial Council Meeting.

According to his agenda, he will participate on Wednesday in the central event of the mission, the OECD Ministerial Council Meeting, which will bring together ministers from member countries, as well as partner and non-member nations.

His participation will reaffirm the Executive Branch's political commitment to advancing Peru's accession process to said organization.

The OECD is an international organization dedicated to promoting public policies that foster global well-being and economic growth.

Peru's accession to this bloc represents a State policy that transcends individual administrations, as it will enable the adoption of high standards across the public sector and its modernization for the benefit of citizens.
