The Fifth Pacific Alliance Cooperation Forum was inaugurated on Tuesday morning, with Peru being the host of this meeting of the bloc's representatives, which will address topics such as social inclusion, gender policies, SMEs, and culture.

Peru takes this role in its capacity as Pro-Tempore Presidency of the Pacific Alliance, which also comprises Chile, Colombia, and Mexico.

The Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the support of the Development Fund of Latin America, promotes this meeting, which brings together various entities and instances from the Pacific Alliance members and other countries.

Within this context, international bodies, international cooperation agencies, and States participating as observers of the bloc's development, are also represented at this forum.

In the case of the Pacific Alliance, the meeting sees the presence of national coordinators from the bloc's countries, as well as members of its Cooperation Council.

The Cooperation Forum is one of the main means of collaboration between the Pacific Alliance and its Observer States, which, year after year, seeks to strengthen cooperation ties with the international community.

Technical Groups

Likewise, the forum contemplates meetings among the bloc's technical groups specialized in different topics.

They include technical groups for gender issues, for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), for culture, for cooperation, as well as for development and social inclusion.

This meeting seeks to discuss and explore international cooperation opportunities for the benefit of citizens in member states of the Pacific Alliance.
