The Ministry of Defense (Mindef) on Sunday reported that more than 450 Peruvian and foreign passengers were put on humanitarian flights.

The government agency noted that the Peruvian Air Force remains alert to continue providing support to the population affected by road blockades.

In this regard, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) pointed out that the Government —through the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur)— continues to work to serve domestic and foreign tourists affected by protests taking place throughout the country.

"Our commitment is to a Peru of Peace," the PCM said on its Twitter account.
