Over 399,000 enterprises have accessed Reactiva Peru loans, 98% were MSEs

A total of 399,491 businesses from all economic sectors have received loans within the framework of the Reactiva Peru Program as of August 26, the Central Reserve Bank (BCR) has reported.

It is worth highlighting that 98% of these businesses are micro and small enterprises (MSEs), which have benefited from historically low interest rates.

With additional an S/30 billion (about US$8.491 billion), the second stage of Reactiva Peru Program seeks to provide liquidity at low rates to companies of all sizes, namely favoring loans to MSEs.

Funds for a total of S/55.85 billion (about US$15.808 billion) in government-backed repos have been offered during this second stage (June 30 thru August 27), with S/ 24.49 billion (about US$6.932 billion) at an average interest rate of 1.69% having been placed for the clients of financial entities.
