New Zealand soccer squad coach Anthony Hudson on Tuesday affirmed the hardest part of playing against home team Peru is the "very dangerous" athletes it has.
In this sense, the coach mentioned the names of Peruvian players Jefferson Farfan, Christian Cueva, Edison Flores, Andre Carrillo, Yoshimar Yotun, and Miguel Trauco.
However, he believes the game will also be hard to win for the Inca team.
As is known, Peru will face New Zealand in the FIFA World Cup intercontinental playoff's second leg this Wednesday.
In this sense, the 36-year-old affirmed the All Whites are used to playing at stadiums, where local fans overwhelmingly support their squads, as was the case in the last decisive game against Mexico.
The U.S.-born coach went on to add he respects the rival but said he has no fear about the game and will look for the victory to qualify for Russia 2018.
He also acknowledged Peru is the favorite team to win the match due to its athletes' quality and its experience facing tough rivals at the Qualifiers.
Yet, Hudson said the Inca squad will feel a pressure that must be taken advantage of by the All Whites.
Concerning striker Chris Wood, the coach noted the forward is doing well. However, he does not believe the team depends on him because the squad is also composed of other excellent players.
Hudson delivered remarks at a press conference after his team held a training session at Lima's National Stadium.
The previous Peru-New Zealand match saw a
0-0 draw in Wellington last Saturday.
In this sense, the
final match will take place in Lima on November 15.
In case Peru defeats New Zealand in such clash, the national team will earn tickets to a World Cup for the fifth time in history.
