Mining investment and commercial drive in Junin region enabled its economy to see sustained growth, which has a positive effect on the quantity of jobs, Junin Governor Angel Unchupaico affirmed.

In statements to Andina news agency, he said the responsible investment promotion has resulted in more businessmen focusing on the center of the country.

“The development experienced in Junin responds to Toromocho’s start of operations since last year, which creates new employment opportunities and boosts the region’s economic activity.

Growth has been observed in the small-scale agricultural sector, despite the little support from previous authorities and the coffee rust-related scourge.

"There is no doubt trade has been one of the opportunities of economic development for Junin region and Huancayo city, since their strategic location and roads ensure easy connection to Pasco, Huanuco and Lima regions," he told.

Junin has become a development pole of first-class trade exchange, which draws the attention from different investors interested in various sectors that have been showing sustained growth.

The regional governor said he is working hard on public safety to enhance such confidence, since it would be impossible to invest in new shopping centers and businesses without it.
