Liverpool FC have joined the race to sign Peruvian left winger Juan Vargas, although the Fiorentina player is close to sign for Juventus, the Italian press reported Wednesday.
According to violanews.com, the good relations between Fiorentina and Liverpool would facilitate the transfer of the Peruvian playmaker to the English side.
“Liverpool are willing to pay 15 million euros to sign Vargas,” reported the website.
However, Juventus are still on the race and newspaper Tuttosport noted today that Vargas is even closer to sign for the Turin side. It mentioned that the ‘Old Lady’ will “fight back” and bid 10 million euros (14 million dollars) for the Peruvian player.
In addition, the new bid will include Brazil’s Amauri Carvalho for Juan Vargas.
Such new offer would be welcomed by Fiorentina coach Mihajlovic, who needs to solve the problems with the team’s offensive line.
Moreover, Violanews noted that the Florence-based side are also interested in signing Schalke 04’s Jefferson Farfan and Sevilla’s Diego Perotti.
