Lima 2019: Peru's Guillen wins gold at Parapan American Games

Peruvian Para athlete Rosbil Guillen won a gold medal in Men's 1500m T11 Final at Lima 2019 Parapan American Games on Wednesday evening.

Thus, the host country claimed its first gold prize in the mega-sports event.

The national sportsman reached the first place with a time of 4:23.88.

He was followed by Ecuadorian Jimmy Caicedo (4:26.33) and Mexican Alejandro Pacheco (4:26.64).

Fellow Peruvian citizen Luis Sandoval ended fourth (4:29.41).

The event took place at VIDENA's Athletics Stadium.
