The first medal came for Peru at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games. Peruvian taekwondist Hugo Del Castillo claimed silver for the host nation in men's individual Poomsae final on Saturday morning.
Del Castillo gave his country a great start at Lima 2019 by snatching the silver medal from Mexico's Marco Arroyo with his final routine.
U.S. Alex Lee grabbed gold medal in this competition.
The event was held Saturday morning at the Callao Regional Sports Village.
The bronze went to Abbas Assadian Jr. from Canada.
