Before his arrival in hometown Lima, Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Florez will return to London's Royal Albert Hall in 2017 to appear in a solo recital on June 2.

The world famous tenor will be joined by Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Lorenzo Viotti.

Florez received an ovation from the audience while performing British song "Rule Britannia" in an Inca-styled costume, at the closing of UK's BBC Proms 2016: The World's Greatest Classical Music Festival.

He also performed a medley of Latino rhythms, getting smiles and a thunderous applause while signing Piel Canela, Mucho Corazon, Guantanamera and Yerberito, the popular songs that made him "feel at home."

The British network noted the phenomenal performance of Florez. Likewise, he claimed this was one of the reasons why the Last Night of the Proms 2016 celebrations were unforgettable. His performance was seen by millions of TV viewers.

He is one of the few artists who has filled the iconic Royal Albert Hall with his voice. This prestigious stage has been taken by acclaimed artists like Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, Sarah Brightman, Bryan Terfel and Simon Rattle, among others.

The Peruvian national is recognized as one of the greatest tenors in the world, which makes him the main Ambassador of Peru's country brand abroad.

Florez's art goes beyond his talent. He supports social projects that empower hope.

Lima Concert

For instance, he will give an unprecedented fundraising concert of Peruvian music, in order to support victims of natural disasters that recently hit his home country.

A professional team is working tirelessly to make the unparalleled show a reality. More than 400 talented young people, including musicians and dancers, will take the stage along with Juan Diego Florez to present rhythms and dances from all over Peru.

The money raised at the show will be given to Peru's State-run National Civil Defense Institute (Indeci).

The concert is slated for July 1 at Lima's National Stadium. Tickets are on sale via Teleticket platforms at Wong and Metro supermarkets.
