Indian multinationals seek Peruvian investment partners

Indian multinational companies from various fields are seeking Peruvian partners to invest and produce added-value goods as part of Lima-based "Feria India 2017" (India Fair 2017).

The event opened its doors last weekend offering a varied cultural agenda, as well as thousands of products. 

The fair convenes 20 Indian multinationals interested in areas like renewable energy, tourism, mining, IT, engineering and agro-industry, as well as financial investments and placement of products in the national market.

Deputy Foreign Trade Minister Edgar Vasquez, Indian Ambassador to Peru Sandeep Chakravorty, Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL) President Mario Mongilardi and India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) representative Prem Singh officially opened Feria India 2017 on Tuesday.

Indian Business Forum

On Tuesday, the Indian Business Forum Roundtable brought together the said enterprises and potential Peruvian partners in a networking session at Lima's Jockey Club Exhibition Center. 

Endorsed by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the Forum connected leading Indian firms with strategic investment and exports -particularly non-traditional- partners in the Inca nation. 

Indian Business Forum also included an informational meeting with Peru's Private Investment Promotion Agency (ProInversion), Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL) and the Indian Chamber of Commerce (Incham).

Guest companies include: Aditya Birla Group, Head Latam Markets - Hero Motocorp, Export-Import Bank of India, Praj Industries, Austin Engineering Company, Karavan Advisory Enterprises, Effibar India Private Limited, Seven Pharma S.A.C., Wipro Technologies, Decco - UPL, among other multinationals.
