IDB: LatAm may develop strategy to promote digital economy

12:36 | Lima, Apr. 12.

Latin America should develop a joint strategy to stimulate access to broadband and digital economy, Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Chairman Luis Alberto Moreno affirmed Thursday.

"Latin America could develop a continental strategy to promote access to broadband, development of digital networks and services, as well as the growth of its own digital economy," he remarked.

In addition, Moreno stated digital economy, energy, investments, SMEs, and talent are just some of the areas of the convergence Latin America must achieve.

"It's a convergence that is undoubtedly within our grasp," he concluded.

Remarks were made at the opening of the III CEO Summit of the Americas.
