Diplomatic Service Ambassador Harold Forsyth Mejia was appointed as new Permanent Representative of Peru to the Organization of American States (OAS) based in Washington D.C.

The appointment was made official by Supreme Resolution No. 099-2021-RE published in the Official Gazette El Peruano.

Corresponding credentials and full powers have been granted to the diplomat —as provided by the aforementioned document— to take up his post at the OAS headquarters in Washington, D.C., United States of America.

A ministerial resolution will set the date on which the new representative to the OAS will officially begin his duties.
