With a career spanning over 50 years, Grupo 5 is set to get everyone dancing at the Heat Latin Music Awards—known simply as "Premios Heat"—by performing iconic anthems such as "Motor y motivo," "Te vas," and "El ritmo de mi corazón," the organizers announced.

The Peruvian cumbia group might also perform "El secreto," a song they released last September that is already available on digital platforms.

Known as "Peru’s Golden Group" (El Grupo de Oro del Perú), they will participate in "Heat Week—Jalisco Style," which is being held in Mexico for the first time.

The ceremony will take place on November 5 at the International Convention Center in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, and will be broadcast via LosHeat.tv and the HTV channel.

Other artists confirmed for the gala—where winners, chosen by public vote, will be honored—include Ha*Ash, Jessi Uribe, Dayanara, and Mar Solís.

Several Peruvian artists with long and distinguished careers appear on the list of nominees, which spans 30 categories for the 2026 edition.

In the "Best Tropical Artist" category, for instance, Peru’s Grupo 5 and Corazón Serrano are competing alongside Carlos Vives, Prince Royce, Romeo Santos, Olga Tañón, and Los Ángeles Azules.

Additionally, Gian Marco is nominated for "Songwriter of the Year," Brunella Torpoco for "Best Salsa Artist," and Kate Candela for "Musical Promise."

The list of nominees for the "Heat Awards – Jalisco Style" (Premios Heat Al Estilo Jalisco)—the first edition to be held in Mexico—is led by Colombian artist Karol G, who has secured 10 nominations.

These include nods for Best Female Artist, Song of the Year, Best Urban Artist, Album of the Year (for Tropicoqueta), and Best Viral Song (for "Bby WOW"), among others.

She is followed by Bad Bunny with nine nominations, while Carlos Rivera and Shakira have seven each. Carín León, Alejandro Fernández, Belinda, Grupo Frontera, Elena Rose, and Rosalía each received six nominations.

Eight of the thirteen most-nominated artists in this edition are women, with their nominations spanning categories such as pop, urban music, Album of the Year, and Viral Song. Tini, Anitta, and Aitana round out the group of top contenders, each with five nominations.
