Peru's Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry (Mincetur) on Monday presented a tool that will allow national exporters to learn about the Inca country's most sought-after products in the United States.
Titled
Market Development Plan (PDM) of the United States, the document can be directly downloaded from the ministry's website.
In this context, Mincetur's Head Rogers Valencia pointed out his portfolio will continue developing tools and instruments to consolidate Peru's exportable supply overseas.
Products
According to the official, the North American country is especially interested in products such as
blueberries, chilies, peppers, pomegranates, tangerines,
quinoa, mangos, bananas, dolphinfish, squids, giant squids, scallops, baby food, yacon, black-eyed peas, jams, jellies, ceramics, and bakery equipment.
Gastronomic
franchises, publishing houses, contact centers, among others services, also stood out in this sense.
Joint work
The PDM of the
United States is a result of the joint efforts undertaken by
Mincetur's International Market Development Department and Peru's Trade Offices (OCEXs) in Houston, Miami, Los Angeles, and New York.
It must be noted these four OCEXs agreed that there is currently an important trend among American consumers to purchase healthy, specialized, and quality products.
As is known, the United States is the Andean nation's main importer of
non-traditional products.
