2017 has been an extraordinary year for Peruvian soccer players since their values have increased in the transfer market.
This is evidenced by the interest from different foreign clubs such as those from Mexico, Brazil, and Spain —which demand Inca talent on their squads.
36 Peruvian players currently defend soccer teams abroad.
Mexico
Following Ray Sandoval's arrival at Monarcas Morelia, there are 10 Peruvians playing in the Mexican League, considered ideal for Inca athletes wishing to later join European clubs.
Forward Raul Ruidiaz has become a benchmark for such team. He was the reason why Mexican entrepreneurs started to take interest in Peruvians' quality and strength.
Brazil
Peru's captain
Paolo Guerrero also makes history in South America's largest country due to the goals he scores.
The 33-year-old forward's story in such nation started in Corinthians and continues in Flamengo, where he has become one of the most-acclaimed players.
Besides Guerrero, Sao Paulo FC's midfielder Christian Cueva is another Peruvian athlete, who stands out in the Brazilian League.
Yet, the aforementioned players are just one little piece of the great talent Peru has been showing abroad.
The following is the list of national athletes defending foreign teams. It must be noted some of them will join Peru's national squad at the
