Foreign Affairs Minister Ana Cecilia Gervasi highlighted the great economic recovery of Peru and the great investment opportunities that the country offers to U.S. entrepreneurs.

The government official held a meeting with representatives from the American Society/Council of the Americas (AS/COA), in which she stressed the country's steady economic growth based on a structured foreign policy.

"We held a meeting with entrepreneurs to provide an update of the situation and the macro-economic perspectives of Peru, as well as the great investment opportunities that the country offers," Gervasi remarked.

Likewise, she highlighted the important projections for the Peruvian economy in the following months, and the country's commitment to the economic integration on a regional and global scale.

"The Peruvian economy shows signs of recovery and very important projections for the next months and next year, so the message we have brought is that Peru is back," she said.

As evidence of this, the Foreign Affairs Minister emphasized the recent visits of the heads of the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to review the status of the projects that both international institutions are developing in Peru.

"We recently received a historic visit, which was milestone, since this is the first time that the heads of the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) visit Peru simultaneously," Gervasi stated.

She went on to say that Peru will receive the visit of the Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Mathias Cormann, as part of the country's accession process to this international organization.

Additionally, the senior official underlined that Peru will assume the presidency of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Summit for the third time in 2024. The country has hosted APEC twice, in 2008 and 2016.
