The Ministry of Health (Minsa) on Thursday afternoon reported that a senior citizen was the first patient to have died from

A 78-year-old man —with a history of high blood pressure— had entered the Air Force Hospital's ICU on March 17, following severe respiratory failure. He died today at 3:00 p.m.
"On behalf of all Peruvians, we express our heartfelt condolences to the relatives (of the deceased person) at this moment of pain," it concluded.
