FA Ministry: Peruvian Neyson Estela found safe and sound in U.S.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Peruvian citizen Neyson Estela was found alive, thanks to an operation organized by the Consulate General of Peru in New York, United States.

"Good news! Our fellow countryman Neyson Estela was found safe and sound in an operation organized by the Consulate General of Peru in New York, with the supportive assistance of the Peruvian community in that city," the government agency reported via X on Saturday.

Similarly, it indicated that more than 40 Peruvian citizens, led by the Consulate, searched for our compatriot for over 10 hours. After seven days, Estela is now with his family.

On July 2, the Consulate General of Peru in New York announced that it was in permanent coordination and communication with local police in the search for Neyson Estela Cabrera.

The young Peruvian citizen was last seen on June 29, 2024, in the Midtown Manhattan area, at Hudson River Park and 46th Street, near Pier 84.
