Ex-Foreign Affairs Minister Maurtua appointed as Peru's Ambassador to Spain

The Government of Peru, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has appointed new Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to Spain, Sweden, and Denmark.

The appointments were made official by supreme resolutions published on Thursday in the Official Gazette El Peruano.

Former Foreign Affairs Minister Oscar Maurtua de Romaña was appointed as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to Spain by Supreme Resolution No. 065-2022-RE.

Likewise, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs appointed Cristina Ronquillo de Blodorn as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to Sweden by Supreme Resolution No. 066-2022-RE.

Additionally, Ronquillo de Blodorn will simultaneously serve as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to Denmark with residency in the Swedish city of Stockholm.

As stated in the resolution, the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark approved the appointment of the aforementioned diplomat in a verbal note.
