The Peruvian squad snatched a 2-2 draw against its Ecuadorian counterpart in a Group B game of the
tournament on Wednesday.
The match was played at Pedro Ludovico Teixeira Olympic Stadium in the Brazilian city of Goiania.
During the first half, the game saw an own goal by Peru's Renato Tapia (23'), and another one scored by Ecuadorian Ayrton Preciado (47').
However, following the break, soccer fans witnessed the scorer's debut of Peruvian-Italian Man of the Match Gianluca Lapadula (49'), followed by the goal of André Carrillo (54') for the Peruvian team's tie in its third match at the current Copa America.
As a result, the Incas remain third in the tournament's Group B.
Peru's next opponent will be Venezuela on Sunday, June 27.
