Congress approves Peru-UK agreement to eliminate double taxation

The Congress of the Republic has approved the agreement between Peru and the United Kingdom to eliminate double taxation on income and capital gains tax.

This was stated in accordance with Legislative Resolution No. 32496, published in the special edition of the Legal Regulations Bulletin of the Official Gazette El Peruano on Wednesday evening.

In its sole article, the provision "approves the Agreement between the Republic of Peru and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Eliminate Double Taxation with respect to Income and Capital Gains Taxes and to Prevent Tax Evasion and Avoidance, signed in London on March 20, 2025."

The irresolution bears the signature of the First Vice Chairman acting as Chair of the Congress of the Republic, Fernando Miguel Rospigliosi Capurro, and of the Second Vice Chairman, Waldermar Jose Cerron Rojas.

The document also notifies this approval to the President of the Republic, Jose Jeri, and to Prime Minister Ernesto Alvarez Miranda, for enactment.
