China extends visa-free entry for Peruvians

The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Lima announced that the entry of Peruvian nationals into its country without a visa has been extended until December 31, 2026.

The diplomatic mission recently made the announcement via social media, specifying that the measure benefits citizens from 45 countries.

"In order to continue facilitating friendly exchanges between Chinese and foreign citizens, China has decided to extend until 24:00 hours on December 31, 2026 (Beijing time) the unilateral visa-exemption policy for citizens of 45 countries, including Peru," reads the statement posted on X.

The embassy explained that individuals holding ordinary passports who travel to China for business, tourism, family visits, exchange, or transit purposes, with a stay not exceeding 30 days, may enter without a visa.

"Those who do not meet the requirements for visa exemption must obtain a visa for China prior to entry," it stated.

France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Slovenia, Slovakia, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Monaco, Liechtenstein, Andorra, South Korea, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
