Peruvian boxer Kina Malpartida will have to deal with a change of opponent if she is to defend her WBA super-featherweight world title this Saturday.

The 32-year old was due to take on American Stacey Reile in Kingston, Jamaica, on December 8, but will now step into the ring against Dominican Marilyn Hernandez instead.

A sudden injury reportedly forced Riley out of the ten-round bout with "Dynamite" Malpartida (14-3, 4 KOs).

Speaking about her change of opponent, Malpartida said: "Stacey couldn't make it to Jamaica because she got injured, fortunately another brave boxer has pledged to fight me ...The talented Marilyn Hernandez! We will finally meet tomorrow. Let's beat this Dominican! ARRIBA PERU!"

Against 28-year-old Hernandez (23-8, 14 KOs), Malpartida will be making the sixth defense of the title she won via TKO 10 over Maureen Shea in 2009.

Malpartida is the first Peruvian female boxer in history to win a world championship.
