Bolivian President Evo Morales on Thursday afternoon arrived in Lima to participate in the 3rd Binational Cabinet taking place in the Peruvian capital city this Friday.

A plane carrying Mr. Morales arrived at Air Group No. 8 at 5:45 PM (local time).

Upon arrival, Bolivia's top official was received with corresponding honors and welcomed by Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Ricardo Luna.

On the following day, he will first attend a presidential meeting with hosting nation's counterpart Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, and then head to the Binational Cabinet event.

The Binational Cabinet aims at uniting both country's efforts to improve the life quality of Bolivian and Peruvian citizens.

The coming event will address four main topics: water resources, security and defense, economic and commercial affairs, as well as interconnection.

At the gathering, progress on the commitments assumed in November 2016 will also be assessed. Likewise, new proposals and goals will be discussed on the occasion.

In this sense, the high-level meeting reflects the good bilateral relations existing between the governments and peoples of Bolivia and Peru.
