The popular Argentine club widely known as Boca Juniors will resume negotiations with Peru's top soccer striker Paolo Guerrero.

The Argentine "TyC Sport" website reported that Boca's coach Miguel Angel Russo personally called Guerrero and asked him to be part of the team.

Likewise, the Inca player showed him his desire to wear the blue-gold jersey.

In the next few hours, a new meeting between the parties may be held. This time between a Boca Juniors board member and Guerrero's representative.

Moreover, all the attention will be focused on the player's contract, as the club is willing to pay the termination clause with the Brazilian club Internacional of Porto Alegre (US$4.5 million).

At the same time, Guerrero considers that he has lowered his economic expectations enough, but even so, his numbers remain far from Boca's possibilities.

Within this framework, the sale of any xeneize team player could clear the way for a deal.

It should be noted the transfer should be completed before January 30.

So far, Russo has added Pol Fernandez —who played for Cruz Azul (Mexico)— and Peruvian Carlos Zambrano —who plays as central defender and arrives from FC Dynamo Kyiv (Ukraine) to his team. The third player to be added into the squad might be Guerrero.
