BCR: Peru economy may rise 4.1% in 1Q 2019

Peruvian economy might grow 4.1% in the first quarter of 2019, underpinned by a recovery in mining activity, Central Reserve Bank (BCR) informed.

In this sense, BCR Economic Studies Central Manager Adrian Armas indicated that —although the Inca country has been recovering— the expansion rate in the aforementioned period will be lower compared to the one registered in the last three months of 2018

Days ago, Economy and Finance Minister Carlos Oliva projected Peruvian economy might register a growth rate of over 4% in the first quarter of 2019.

Likewise, in December the official pointed out private investment will boost GDP increase in 2019

Furthermore, Minister Oliva affirmed the political crisiscentered on the Public Ministry— has not affected the economy.
