In order to strengthen friendship ties and promote Peruvian culture and the country's export supply, the Peruvian Navy's BAP Union sailing training ship has arrived at the port of Willemstad, Curaçao.

The presence of the Peruvian Navy training ship was announced with a 21-gun salute, and its crew was welcomed by Peruvian Ambassador to the Netherlands Marisol Agüero.

At a joint press conference, Ambassador Agüero and the BAP Union Commander, Captain Jose Arce, highlighted the role of the ship as an Itinerant Embassy of Peru since 2020.

BAP Union, through its circumnavigation trip around the world, disseminates Peruvian millenary culture, export supply, and tourist attractions, strengthening the bonds of friendship between Peru and the nations it visits.

On Wednesday, Ambassador Agüero and Commander Arce paid official visits to Curaçaoan authorities.

In the evening, at a reception, Peruvian Navy cadets came together to put on a performance of traditional dances.

Starting on Thursday, BAP Union will be open to public for two days. After that, it will leave for Panama to continue its journey through the Caribbean.
