Leaders' Week in November will bring together in Lima the leaders of the 21 economies that make up this trade bloc.
In APEC, the heads of member economies (presidents and heads of government) are deemed as leaders, in accordance with the common APEC principle that participants are referred to as member economies, rather than countries, nations, or States.

People's Republic of China
Since 2014, the People's Republic of China has been the main destination for Peruvian exports and the origin of Peruvian imports.
As of July 2024, Peruvian exports to China totaled US$14.260 billion. On the other hand, imports from that country totaled US$8.238 billion.
Vietnam
Vietnamese President To Lam will participate in APEC Leaders' Week and
will also make an official visit to Peru, according to the
Foreign Affairs Ministry.
This will be the first official visit by a Vietnamese president to Lima. It will take place in the context in which both countries celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (1994-2024).
Vietnam is currently Peru's leading trading and investment partner in Southeast Asia, fifth in Asia, and twentieth worldwide.
Brunei Darussalam
He will also make a state visit to Peru, within the framework of the APEC Leaders' Summit.
The visit was confirmed by the
Foreign Affairs Minister of that country, Erywan Pehin Yusof, to his
Peruvian counterpart, Elmer Schialer, during his participation in the United Nations General Assembly last September.
South Korea
Next year, the Republic of Korea will be the host country for APEC 2025.
The main venue for the meetings will be the city of Gyeongju, located approximately 270 kilometers from Seoul, the South Korean capital.
Malaysia
Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has confirmed his official visit to Peru for APEC Leaders' Week, and to pay an official visit to the country.
In 2023, trade between Peru and Malaysia amounted to US$468.2 million, making that economy Peru's ninth-largest trading partner in Asia.

The Brazilian leader himself confirmed his future arrival in Lima, because his country is interested in strengthening its relationship with China.
