Andrea Bocelli, one of the most successful Italian tenors will arrive to Lima to present his show called Incanto, as part of his world tour. The concert will be held on April 28. This will be the first visit of the most popular tenor worldwide and he is one the best three in the world. He recorded 7 complete operas (Carmen, La Boheme, Il Trovatore, Cavalleria Rusticana, Pagliacci, Werther and Tosca), as well as classic and pop albums.

Bocelli has sold more than 65 million albums and in 2006, he received the award of Grand Official of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.

His talent has been recognized by several personalities, such as Luciano Pavarotti, Pope John Paul II who gave him a standing ovation or famous singer Celine Dion, who said about the Italian tenor: “If God had musical voice, it will be very similar to Andrea Bocelli’s”.

He is an international star for songs such as “Con te partiro”; he included in this last work “Incanto”, records of immortal songs of the Italian repertoire, especially Neapolitan repertoire.

Bocelli began his career in 1992, when rock star Zucchero asked unknown Andrea to record a ‘demo track’ of ‘Miserere’, a duet that was supposed to be recorded with Luciano Pavarotti.

Andrea captured with no effort the essence of the song and Zucchero later said: “He has that what I like to call ‘Soul’”.

Bocelli launched 13 Pop albums, 8 classic albums, 7 complete operas and also 10 DVD’s.
