Ambassador to Qatar highlights Peru's economic stability

Peruvian Ambassador to Qatar, Gonzalo Voto Bernales, emphasized that Peru's sustained growth and economic stability ensure a favorable environment for new investments in the South American country and the strengthening of bilateral relations.


During this gathering, which was held at the institution's headquarters, Ambassador Voto Bernales presented the numerous opportunities that Peru offers to Qatari entrepreneurs, especially in the context of economic diversification and the rise of Peruvian agro-exports.

In this regard, the diplomat underscored the importance of maintaining continuous dialogue between the business communities of Peru and Qatar to maximize the potential of their economic relationship.

Likewise, he emphasized the upcoming inauguration of the new terminal at Jorge Chavez Airport, as well as the launch of the Chancay Megaport, which will reshape both the logistical and commercial dynamics of South America, particularly in its relationship with the Asia-Pacific region.

Ambassador Voto Bernales also underscored the efforts made by the Peruvian Embassy in Doha to promote the start of passenger and cargo operations by Qatar Airways to Peru.

In turn, Rashid Bin Hamad Al Athba highlighted Qatar's interest in strengthening its commercial ties with Peru, emphasizing the opportunities Peru offers in sectors such as agribusiness and the tourism-related industry.

He also expressed the Qatari Chamber of Commerce's willingness to promote business missions that foster investment exchange and trade between both countries.

The two parties agreed on the importance of continuing to promote bilateral trade, committing to the development of joint initiatives that strengthen economic relations between Peru and Qatar.
