The fellow citizens boarded the presidential plane at Tel Aviv airport, Prime Minister Alberto Otarola reported.

"Our compatriots are already boarding the presidential plane in Tel Aviv. I congratulate the laudable work of the Embassy of Peru in Israel, which helped keep Peruvians safe, and the Peruvian Air Force for this historic flight," he indicated.
"(…) the Peruvian citizens and the presidential plane are expected to return to (land in) Lima on Sunday between 10:00 and 11:00 hours," Minister Chavez Cresta announced.
In turn, the
Peruvian Foreign Affairs Ministry has reported that
so far 160 compatriots have been provided with accommodation, food, and transportation during their stay in Israel —a country that is in confrontation with the Islamist group Hamas.
"Besides, we have assisted 90 Peruvians in their journey outside said country by land to Jordan, and 70 by air to other cities," it added.
Along these lines, the government agency indicated that Peruvian embassies and consulates worldwide "are alert" to assist fellow citizens who arrive in their respective jurisdictions.
"To date, our embassies in Egypt and Israel, as well as the consulates general in Madrid and Dubai have provided support to this end," it noted.
Finally, the
ministry affirmed that it will remain aware of upcoming cases that may arise in the following days, in order to assist compatriots in their evacuation.
