A new batch of 936,000 vaccines from Pfizer pharmaceutical company has landed in Peru to continue the vaccination process throughout the national territory, Health Minister Oscar Ugarte has reported.

The minister reported that an additional 196,580 doses will arrive on July 30 as part of the commitment assumed since he took over the Ministry of Health (Minsa) to protect the population.

According to the government official, today it is correct to say that the goal of inoculating more than 4.5 million Peruvians with the two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine before July 28 has been achieved.

"This is the result of the efforts and commitment of a great work team," Ugarte highlighted.

For his part, Deputy Public Health Minister Gustavo Rosell highlighted the arrival of these doses, which are part of the total amount purchased by this government.

He also underlined the mass participation of the population during the Vaccinathon, with which the Government ends its work in the fight against COVID-19 on a high note.
