The 41st International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) Annual Conference officially came to an end in Lima (Peru) on May 12th.
IOSCO Chairman Greg Medcraft, Secretary-General Paul Andrews and Malaysia Securities Commission Chairman Ranjit Ajit Singh, expressed pleasure and congratulations to the Peruvian team in charge of hosting the world's most important stock market event of the year.
The national delegation was led by the Securities Market Superintendent Lilian Rocca, whereas the closing ceremony was headed by Economy and Finance Minister Alonso Segura.
Short, medium and long-terms agreements
Meetings held between different IOSCO working groups concluded with important agreements to be fulfilled in the short, medium and long-terms.
Members reaffirmed the purpose of continuing taking care of stock market regulation related issues.
In this regard, the board of directors also reaffirmed its commitment to monitoring and supervising stock-market assets by focusing on liquidity risk management and financing leverage, among others.
