Peru's Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru) presented its latest international tourism campaign titled "Peru, the richest country in the world" at the World Travel Market (WTM) currently underway in London.

This initiative seeks to draw international attention by presenting the exceptional richness the Andean country offers in terms of invaluable experiences, culture, nature, gastronomy, and adventure activities.

"Peru, the richest country in the world" will be available in seven languages and 19 countries, whose citizens account for 90% of foreign arrivals in the Inca country.

In this sense, tourists looking for life-changing experiences and emotions will have access to information related to the Inca nation's tourist destinations.

"Tourists have changed, both in what they expect when traveling and how they find information for their next destination," PromPeru's Tourism Director Marisol Acosta pointed out.

For this reason, "PromPeru is prioritizing advertisement in digital and traditional platforms," she added.

Within this framework, PromPeru also launched a website (PeruPaisMasRico.com), whose content includes four thematic videos (culture, gastronomy, adventure, and nature) showing Peru's richness and diversity.

It must be noted tourism sector contributes 3.9% to Peru's GDP and generates over 1.3 million jobs, thus becoming one of the most important sectors for the Inca country's development.

Also, President Kuczynski's administration has set the goal of doubling the number of international arrivals by 2021.
