Peru: President Balcazar meets with Judiciary head

The President of the Republic, Jose Maria Balcazar, received Judiciary Chairwoman Janet Tello Gilardi and the Chair of the Lambayeque Superior Court of Justice, Cesar Bravo.

Judicial Branch authorities requested support for the construction of new facilities for the Lambayeque Superior Court of Justice under the Works for Taxes mechanism.

"The president expressed his support, taking into account that these investments will facilitate better administration of justice for the benefit of the citizenry," the Presidential Office reported on social media.


During the meeting, Tello Gilardi set out the need to strengthen flagrancy units, which bring together justice system operators in a single location in order to act more effectively against crime, the Judiciary specified on X.

"We have found absolute willingness on the part of President Balcazar; therefore, I can leave satisfied with the outcome and also be able to give this news to the workers," Tello Gilardi said after this event. 


Meeting with Carabaya mayor

During the afternoon, the Head of State received the provincial mayor of Carabaya, along with the district mayors of Ayapata, Corani, and Crucero (Puno region) to coordinate actions aimed at boosting road projects and strengthening connectivity in the southern province.

Local authorities and residents also participated in the meeting at the Government Palace.

Through artistic performances, they conveyed gratitude for the efforts making it possible to improve connectivity and for the support of initiatives aimed at bringing development and greater opportunities to their communities.
