Foreign Affairs Minister Carlos Espa once again underscored the importance of Pope Leo XIV's upcoming visit to Peru, saying that all sectors must "do their part" to ensure that the message he will share reaches everyone.

He indicated that, at the request of President Keiko Fujimori, His Holiness' visit to Peru is a Government priority and a commitment for both the Peruvian State and every member of the Executive Branch.

The high-ranking official said the Catholic Church's leader will bring a message of peace, unity, and reconciliation addressed to all Peruvians and the world.

"It is our responsibility, whether we work in the public or private sector, to do our part and plant our mustard seed to ensure that these messages effectively reach all those who await them with faith and devotion," he added.

The minister made these remarks during the official presentation of the program of activities for Pope Leo XIV's visit.

The event was held at the Peruvian Episcopal Conference (CEP) headquarters in Lima's Jesus Maria district.

In this regard, the Cabinet member said the Government is aware that preparations for the activities do not begin with the arrival of the Supreme Pontiff, but rather start now.

He also called on all Peruvians to participate in the program.

"We are all invited to participate," Espa underscored.

Likewise, the minister said all sectors involved are working to ensure that Pope Leo XIV's arrival will be a memorable event.

"It has been very gratifying and enriching to confirm that everyone involved has been redoubling their efforts in the preparations, making a greater effort to bring us closer together, recognize one another, and strive to ensure that this visit will remain in the memories of generations of Peruvians," he stated.
