on Tuesday evening received greetings from various authorities and diplomatic delegations as part of Peru's Independence Day celebrations on July 28.
The event took place in the Government Palace Golden Hall in Lima.
The President was accompanied by First Vice President and Prime Minister Luis Galarreta, Second Vice President and Senate Chairman Miguel Torres, and Foreign Affairs Minister Carlos Espa.
During the event, the Head of State received greetings from the chiefs of special missions representing Denmark, Norway, Romania, Latvia, Ukraine, Panama, the Bahamas, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Costa Rica, and other countries.
The heads of the European Union and Swiss special missions extended their greetings to the Executive Branch officials.
Greetings were also extended by Ombudsman Josue Gutierrez, Lima Mayor Renzo Reggiardo, Joint Command of the Armed Forces Chief Cesar Augusto Briceño, as well as senators and deputies.
Afterwards, she delivered her first address to the nation outlining her administration’s main policy guidelines.
