on Friday said the Executive Branch is preparing a supplementary credit package for the citizen security sector aimed at strengthening the National Police's infrastructure and equipment.
Likewise, the Head of State referred to Peru's upcoming official entry into the Shield of the Americas.
In this regard, the top official noted that countries must remain allied to combat crime.
"When we have a better-equipped police force, when we enhance the justice administration system, with the information we will obtain through the Shield of the Americas, I believe that we will have all the ringleaders captured within a few months," Fujimori stated.
Health
Regarding the health sector, the President described the current situation as "a disaster," saying that the administration system has failed.
In response, Fujimori noted that the Executive Branch has launched a digitalization process that will allow operations such as scheduling appointments from a mobile phone, as well as enhancing the condition of medical equipment and checking the availability of medicines.
"By the end of October, four hospitals will already have everything under control. (...). By the end of this year, all hospitals in the capital will be repaired," she announced.
Pope Leo XIV's visit
On another note, President Fujimori thanked Foreign Affairs Minister Carlos Espa for the work he has been carrying out ahead of the upcoming visit by Pope Leo XIV.
In this regard, the top official indicated that coordination is underway with the different levels of the Catholic Church to ensure a successful visit to Peru's regions.
The Head of State said the Pope's arrival will contribute to reconciliation among Peruvians and convey a message of hope and unity.
Announcements
Asked about the actions to be taken in response to the PISA report, which showed a decline in Peru's academic performance, the President announced that the Government will present a comprehensive plan on September 14 to address this situation.
"On Monday, we will introduce the comprehensive plan (...) We will present each of the decisions to be made regarding infrastructure, the curriculum, and connectivity improvements," she said.
The top official also announced that she will travel to Purus, Ucayali region, tomorrow to reach this remote area, restore civic flights, and provide support.
Finally, regarding rumors of disagreements with her Cabinet, she said there are none, stating that "there will be no changes to ministers for now."
