The 2026 election day began this Sunday at 07:00 a.m. across the country. Within this framework, more than 27 million Peruvians are set to cast their ballots until 6:00 p.m. to elect new national authorities.

The process includes the installation of 92,766 polling tables nationwide.

In Metropolitan Lima and the Constitutional Province of Callao, 2,260 polling places have been enabled, mainly at schools and universities.

During this day, citizens will elect the president of the Republic, vice presidents, as well as representatives to the Senate, the Chamber of Deputies, and the Andean Parliament.

To ensure the smooth conduct of the process, the deployment of more than 45,000 members of the Armed Forces and 61,000 police agents has been ordered.

They will vote at their respective service locations.

This electoral process will allow citizens to choose the next President of the Republic, Vice Presidents, Senators, Deputies, and Representatives to the Andean Parliament.
