Presidential candidate Alvaro Paz de la Barra, representing Fe en el Peru (Faith in Peru party), cast his vote in Lima's La Molina district on Sunday, within the framework of the 2026 General Elections.

The aspirant arrived at Escuela Superior de Guerra Aérea (Air War College), a training institution of the Peruvian Air Force.

Earlier, the Fe en el Peru candidate took part in his electoral breakfast, scheduled for 7:00 a.m. in the Los Molinos neighborhood, also in La Molina, as part of his activities for election day.

Paz de la Barra thus became the third presidential contender to vote on April 12.

He is joined on the presidential ticket by first vice-presidential candidate Yessika Aliaga Narvaez and second vice-presidential candidate Belen Palacios Rodriguez. Together, they will await the official results.

According to the voter registry of the National Registry of Identification and Civil Status (Reniec), more than 27 million Peruvians are eligible to vote at 92,766 polling tables nationwide, in an election marking the return to a bicameral Congress.

Voting began nationwide at 7:00 a.m. and will continue until 6:00 p.m., during which citizens can go to the polls to choose new national authorities.
