"The role of women, throughout history and at present times, is extremely important and will remain this way in the future. Unfortunately, only half a century ago and a little longer, we clearly and effectively recognized this role through the (right to) vote," he expressed.
"They are in different areas of national and business lives, but above all in the lives of communities that are well aware of the role of women leaders. This has been key and necessary in the field and in the city," he pointed out.
In that sense, the recognition paid to female citizens today on International Women's Day is highly deserved, he concluded.
