Likewise, the sector's head remarked that Pfizer's document eases the arrival of vaccines from the
COVAX Facility.
"And this means that there would be 117,000 vaccine doses arriving probably next month," she noted.
"There are two types of transfers: the local transfer, which is shorter, within Lima city. It is divided into four
Directorates of Integrated Health Networks, plus Callao's Regional Directorate. In parallel, the vaccines are departing for each of our country's regions (…)," she indicated.
The high-ranking official mentioned that the mobilization of vaccines to each health facility in Lima and regions will be carried out in special trucks that meet technical standards for the transportation of biological products. This entire process will be
safeguarded by the Armed Forces and the National Police of Peru.
"It is a symbol for all Peruvians that we can have an authority of their level in the vaccination (process); that means the recognition of the usefulness, quality, and safety of the vaccine," she added.
