Peruvian Prime Minister Walter Martos on Tuesday announced that Phase 4 of the Economic Reactivation would begin next month.

Martos —who this morning supervised the delivery of food to vulnerable families in Lima's Pachacamac district— said that all actions taken by the Government in the fight against COVID-19 are constantly evaluated by the Council of Ministers.

According to the reactivation program proposed by the Government, Phase 4 includes allowing international flights, as well as the resumption of activities at gyms, cinemas, and recreation centers, among others.

Phases

As he recalled, Phase 1 —which began progressively in May— saw the restart of 27 activities in four economic sectors (mining and industry; construction; services; tourism and commerce).

Phase 2 of the reactivation began in June, with the resumption of 28 activities in agriculture, mining, manufacturing, construction, trade, services and transportation.

For its part, Phase 3 began in July and it included other sectors.
