Peru's FA Minister meets with MEPs in Belgium

Foreign Affairs Minister Cesar Landa on Thursday met with members of the European Parliament (MEPs) Jordi Cañas and Jordi Solé, with whom he discussed relations between Peru and the European Union —as part of his work trip that began in Belgium.

At the event, the Cabinet member invited a European parliamentary delegation to visit Peru in 2023, the Foreign Affairs Ministry has reported.

The Peruvian government representative began a work trip that will take him to Belgium, France, Italy, the Holy See, and Mexico.


Besides, the government official will meet with high-ranking authorities of the EU and the Kingdom of Belgium, in order to address the common agenda with the EU bloc and the aforementioned country.

From October 15-16, Minister Landa will travel to Paris, France, in order to hold working meetings at the Peruvian Embassy regarding Peru's accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). He will also participate in a meeting with the South American country's community residing in Paris.

On October 17, Minister Landa will be received by Pope Francis at the Vatican. He will also meet with his Italian counterpart and participate in the events planned within the framework of the World Food Forum 2022, organized by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

In Mexico, he will participate in the activities organized within the framework of the Pacific Alliance Council of Ministers Meeting from October 19 to 21. The event was convened by the United Mexican States, in its capacity as holder of the Pro-Tempore Presidency.
