Peru: President Balcazar meets with CAF Chief

The President of the Republic, Jose Maria Balcazar, met with Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) Executive President Sergio Diaz-Granados to learn about the initiatives the institution promotes in the country.

The Head of State thanked the financial institution for its support.

Likewise, the top official "reaffirmed his willingness to strengthen cooperation to continue delivering concrete solutions to more Peruvian families."

"The President of the Republic, Jose Maria Balcazar, held a working meeting at the Government Palace with Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) Executive President Sergio Diaz-Granados to learn about the initiatives the institution is fostering in Peru, especially in key sectors such as water and sanitation, which directly improve quality of life and development," the Presidential Office reported via X on Thursday.

"Cooperation that translates into (public) works for the people," it emphasized.

CAF is a development bank committed to supporting countries across Latin America and the Caribbean and improving quality of life in the region.
