Peru: President attends opening ceremony of Constitutional Court jurisdictional year

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Wednesday participated in the ceremony marking the opening of the jurisdictional year of the Constitutional Court (TC), the Government Palace Press Secretariat has reported.

The event took place at the institutional premises of the TC in downtown Lima.

Previously, the Head of State led a new session of the Council of Ministers at the Government Palace.

Last Tuesday, the top official attended the ceremony to start the 2022 judicial year. At the event, he reiterated the Government's respect for justice administration system entities.

There, the dignitary also indicated that 2022 will be a year of greater effort, work, dialogue, openness, and transparency.
