Lima Airport Partners (LAP) has joined the Together at Home campaign —with the aim of protecting health workers who, day after day, face COVID-19 across the country— by handing over more than 1,400 biological protection kits to the
Health Ministry (Minsa) medical team.
"Lima Airport Partners joins Oli Foundation's efforts by providing 1,458 biological protection kits, valued at S/70,000 (around US$20,667)," said Julissa Salavarria, Management Systems Manager of LAP.
This is part of the second phase of the Oli Foundation campaign, which aims to provide personal protective equipment (30,000 kits) for healthcare personnel.
Each kit contains: 1 sterile gown, 2 KN95 face masks, 2 pairs of nitrile gloves, and 1 face shield —materials to protect one doctor or nurse during the treatment of
COVID-19 patients.
The kits will be distributed to hospitals, following the criteria set by the Oli Foundation medical advisory team.
"
Solidarity, trust, and optimism are our current pillars as a country. We sincerely thank LAP for joining (the initiative) and for facilitating the delivery of the materials. Let's protect those who protect us by
standing together at home," said Diana Crousillat, Executive Director of Oli Foundation.
Lima Airport Partners continues promoting corporate social responsibility actions, maintaining close communication with communities in its area of direct influence, as well as reconsidering actions to generate social development and support under minimum risk conditions.
