74% of Peruvians against dissolved-Congress members running for re-election

74% of Peruvians disapprove of the decision of the National Election Board (JNE) that authorizes members of the dissolved-Congress to run in the January 2020 parliamentary elections, according to an Ipsos Peru poll published Monday.

The study reports that 24% approve dissolved-Congress members to run again, whereas 2% do not specify.

According to the poll, the citizens would vote for the following parties: Accion Popular (10%), Fuerza Popular (9%), Alianza por el Progreso (6%), Partido Morado (5%), APRA (3%), Partido Popular Cristiano (2%), Vamos Peru (2%), Juntos por el Peru (2%), and Frente Amplio (2%).


In addition, 36% indicated that they would vote for a candidate who defends center political ideas, 33% for one representing the right, and 15% for one belonging to the left.
